Senior Product Engineer, Electronics Hardware/Software Job Summary Responsible for the design and development of new embedded electronics devices that will drive innovative controls and control systems in consumer appliances.
Senior Product Engineer, Electronics Hardware/Software Duties and Responsibilities
Independently designs electronic hardware and or software for electronic controls and control systems having significant technical content.
Develops product technical specifications based off of a variety of requirement inputs including consumer, marketing and industrial design.
Develops prototypes and implements new product designs including analog and digital hardware and or firmware.
Determines the benefit of product design re-use from existing products and modifies existing designs as input to new products.
Prepares test and validation plans. Leads execution and direction of product testing.
Develops detailed engineering documentation including block diagrams, schematics, fabrication and assembly drawings, component drawings, specifications, manuals and other customer documentation, development and test procedures, Engineering Change Notices and manufacturing procedures.
Provides support and training on new products to other departments and customers as required.
Estimates task durations and assists with the preparation of project schedules and product cost estimate including costed BOMs.
Exhibits appropriate professional behavior including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives.
Works with outside consultants, suppliers and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture electronic components and assemblies.
Works closely with Purchasing and Quality to investigate, qualify, select and manage electronics suppliers.
Works closely with manufacturing to ensure the smooth transition of new designs into the production process including support past pilot run and into full manufacturing ramp up.
Performs special projects as directed by the Department Manager.
Senior Product Engineer, Electronics Hardware/Software Education and Experience
English competency both written and oral.
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters degree a plus.
Minimum seven years of proven experience in conceiving and developing embedded hardware controls/control systems and or firmware preferably in a consumer appliance product R&D environment.
Proven understanding of electrical systems.
Experience with power supplies, analog circuits, and flex circuits preferred.
Design/programming experience using assembly language and C/C+
firmware a distinct plus.
Proficiency in schematic and circuit design and layout using ORCAD or similar CAD system a distinct plus.
Demonstrated track record in supporting all aspects of an electronics manufacturing organization to achieve required production rates.
Demonstrated track record in managing external suppliers to achieve required levels of quality, performance and delivery of sourced components, assemblies and sub assemblies.
Senior Product Engineer, Electronics Hardware/Software Skills and Abilities
Familiar with ANSI, UL, CSA, NEMA and IEC standards especially as they relate to consumer appliance products.
Strong communications skills both written and oral.
Proven track record using industry recognized new-product-design processes for electronic, mechanical and software design.
Knowledge of best practices and design guidelines for increased noise immunity and reduced emissions.
Demonstrated track record of designing PCBs for high volume production.
Experience with single-sided, double-sided, and multi-layer PCB design.
Experience designing PCBs with mixed surface mount and thru-hole technologies.
Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
Ability to work as an integral, contributing member of both domestic and international technical electronics development teams.
Ability to adapt to a very fast paced, loosely structured organization.
Ability to organize and manage workload in order to effectively support multiple projects.

Knowledge and experience in systems integration and the interactions between hardware and software design.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
