The position will be working 6-7 days per week, 2nd/3rd shift.
?High School degree or equivalent, related associates degree preferred. ?4
years of supervision in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred. ?Evidence of strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication, problem solving, planning, and leadership skills necessary. ?Good personal computer skills utilizing Windows software, and time / attendance applications. ?Must be able to work in a team oriented environment. ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT ?Exposure to temperature changes in manufacturing, but no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. ?The employee is required to stand, sit, talk, hear, walk the factory floor including up and down stairways, and ladders. ?The employee must wear PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas. ?Close, distance, peripheral vision required along with ability to adjust focus and depth perception. Lifting up to 50 pounds is also required.
Helps to ensure a safe work environment, follows and enforces TS16949, ISO14001, and the labor agreement.
Coordinates activities with other supervisors to ensure consistency across shifts and the plant.
Prior to start of shift, determines production line status and material availability, and reacts accordingly.
Discusses priorities, schedule changes, and issues with off-going and on-coming Supervisors, and others.
Responsible for coordinating mold changes, maintaining the 5S program, and participating in Kaizen events.
Enforces labeling procedure guidelines.
Takes part in layered audits, responds to internal audit findings immediately, and takes corrective action.
Reviews production and operating data to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems ensuring minimum costs and preventing operational delays.
Makes and implements recommendations that promote continuous improvement.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, applicable laws and the labor contract.
Communicates and aligns employees with organizational goals; develops employees through guidance and training; works to maintain a positive management/union relationship.
Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all operating parameters.
Maintains a neat, well groomed appearance.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
